Frequently Asked Quesitons

  • How do I purchase a ticket?

  • Tickets are purchased through zeffy.com. Parents are required to fill out a registration for each student and payment is made online at the time of registration. Parents and students must sign the code of conduct at the time of registration.

  • Who can attend?

  • Our dances are primarily for homeschool students in the Grants Pass area. This includes students homeschooling independently as well as through a charter school. Small local private school students in Grants Pass may also attend. Students must be the minimum age by the month the dance is held.

  • Is there a dress code?

  • Yes. The dress code is included in the code of conduct within the registration along with the code of conduct.

  • Can I bring someone to the dance?

  • Each student who is homeschooled or in private school may bring 1 friend/date who attends public school to the dance. (Space permitting) This is considered a plus 1. (Friends from the homeschool community are not considered plus 1s). EVERY student who plans to attend the dance MUST register. When registering please list the name of the +1 and have the friend list your name on their registration as well. Each student must also read the code of conduct. Parents will sign that they have gone over it with their child.

  • Can I sell/gift my ticket to someone else?

  • No. There is no transferring of tickets. If your child is unable to attend the dance we are happy to refund the ticket if you contact us prior to the dance beginning. Students who bring tickets issued to someone else will not be admitted.

  • Does purchasing a ticket automatically save space for my plus 1?

  • No. If you have indicated you would like to bring a guest it does not automatically guarantee them a ticket. They must register and pay for a ticket. Because there are limited tickets as well as registration closure dates, we recommend sending them the registration link when you register and communicating they should also register ASAP to ensure an additional ticket. Students who show up with a guest who's not registered will not be admitted.

  • How do I know if my student is registered?

  • Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with tickets. On rare occasions your bank may show you purchased a ticket but you have not received it. If that is the case it is likely due to a delay in processing. Please reach out to the committee and we will help troubleshoot for you. All confirmed registrants will receive a ticket confirmation email.

  • Can I pay cash at the door?

  • No. Payment is required at time of registration. We do not accept same day registration.

  • Where are the dances held?

  • We do our best to meet the needs of our students. As such, our dance have and may continue to be held at various locations which accommodate our needs. We have held dances, at Edgewater Church, Jerome Prarie Grange, and The Vitality Center. Future venues may include private event facilities, the fairgrounds, or other venues. Currently, The Vitality Center is meeting our needs because their large capacity allows us to be inclusive.

  • Can I bring food or drink to the dance?

  • No. Outside food and drinks are not permitted at the dance. We provide generous amounts of snacks and beverages, including water at every dance. We also provide allergy friendly options.

  • Can parents stay for the dance or come in and take pictures?

  • For the safety of our students and the requirements of our insurance, as well as fire Marshall restrictions, parents are not allowed to be inside the dance during the event. This includes pick up. We take your children's safety very seriously. There is no way for us to secure our event if we allow parents to pop in at random. In addition, our volunteers are registered with our non profit in order to meet the requirements of our insurance policy. Parents who are volunteers the night of the dance may be on the premises.

  • We understand the need that arises to check in with, touch base, or pick up students early. Your student will never be denied access to you. We allow students to come to the lobby and/or outdoor area to communicate with parents. If it's necessary to do so, we ask you to pre-plan and inform your child(ren) when you would like them to come out to meet with you.

  • Can I pick my child up early?

  • Yes. Please communicate to your child what time they will he expected to meet you. Each student will need to sign out at the registration station before leaving and exit the front door. The time they leave will be recorded. Once a student leaves the dance they will not be permitted re-entry. Students are allowed to briefly visit their vehicle if accompanied by staff.

  • Can I request a song?

  • Song suggestions can be made at time of registration and will be considered until playlist is made. Song suggestions made in late registrations will not be considered. All songs are vetted by our committee.

  • Can I volunteer?

  • Yes! We welcome parents who are interested in volunteering to fill out a volunteer registration. These registrations will be collected and selected parents will be assigned a position for the night. This may include: chaperoning, coat check, food/beverage, or outdoor security. Once selected, a registration for the Homeschool PTA will be sent. For insurance purposes, all adults present as volunteers the night of the dance must be registered as PTA members. Registration fee is $45/year and must be payed for at time of registration by the applicant. A reimbursement check will be issued to you for $45 upon arrival at the dance.
